For 250 years the history of todays Dresden Frauenkirche or Church of our Lady is marked by wars, firestorms, starvation and flood disasters. Therefore the old socialistic slogan „Auferstanden aus den Ruinen“ which means „Resurrected out the ruins“ is very suitable for the church.
