We are standing before the Memorial to Firefighters Fallen in the Line of Duty, a place dedicated to those firefighters who lost their lives while rescuing others. The memorial was unveiled in 2006 in front of Olsztyn’s fire service headquarters. An inscription on its base reminds visitors that a person’s true greatness is measured by their willingness to serve and sacrifice themselves for others…
