Linton Park

The original pastoral run occupied by the Linton family in 1839, called Emu Hill, consisted of 15,000 acres with the capacity to graze 8,000 sheep. The family was forced by financial circumstances to mortgage and sell portions of it from 1851 until they finally left, moving into Ballarat in the early 1860s. At some stage they renamed the portion that they remained living on, Linton Park, and the name was retained by subsequent owners. In the early 1900s, this property was owned by the Bolte family, who sold it to David Clarke in 1926. Today it is owned and run by descendants of the Clarke family.

Proceed to the intersection of the Linton-Naringhil Road and Happy Valley Road.
